About Us
Darul Arqam Model Comprehensive College became operational in January 2014 with six students. This marked the commencement of the 2014 academic year. To enhance the qualitative and result-oriented program, despite the eagerness of parents/guardians to enrol their wards, the school completed the academic year with six students.
By September 2014, the school enrolled 18 students which made the population rise to 24. According to the school program, the duration is 7 years with the pioneering class being the Preparatory or Foundation level, afterwards, we operate three years for Junior Secondary- l’idadiyyah and three years for Secondary-Thanawiyyah. For the 2014/15 academic session, the newly admitted students were in preparatory class while the first sets of students were in J.S.S 1.
Due to the rise in the population of the students and the pressing need for expansion the school relocated to 2, Aloma Street, Bank bus-stop, Ifo, Ogun state in 2015, In 2019, the institution enrolled her students for Basic Education Certificate 2019 Examination (BECE) under the Ogun State Educational Board.
While at Ifo, Ogun state, the school has started developing its permanent site since the present building couldn’t accommodate the students any longer.
In 2018, we moved to our permanent site at 2, lyana Odo Street, Araromi Town, Ajegunle, Ewekoro LGA, Ogun State. As of this period, the population/size of the School was 95. While at the permanent location, facilities such as a cafeteria, classrooms, a standard hostel, and a mosque that accommodates a congregation of 1,000 worshippers were being constructed. The development of other school facilities is still in Progress.
In 2020, out of the total population of 125, the first set of students wrote the West Africa Examination Council Examination (WASSCE), National Examination Council (NECO) and National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS).
Throughout history, the school has remained committed to creating an enabling environment where effective teaching and learning processes have been taking place.
